The Never-Ending Wait For Final Fantasy XIII

Few games have caught the interest of the entire gaming world than the several chapters of the Final Fantasy chain. Unquestionably the primary franchise of Square-Enix, the Final Fantasy series has never failed to dishearten its rapaciously devoted fans with each and every game in the stretched running history of the title.

And recently, everyone keenly awaits the presentation of the 13th installment of Final Fantasy.

What was previously promoted as a Sony Playstation 3 special is recently proclaimed as a dual release PS3 and Microsoft's highly triumphant consoleengine, the Xbox 360, at least for lands remote to Japan.

Final Fantasy XIII begins in the hanging island-heaven of Cocoon in a revolutionary planet highly affected by heavenly-like entities recognized as the Fal'cie. However, an opposite power, recognized as the Pulse, hangs about under the Cocoon, spreading menace, darkness and misery. Both the Cocoon and the Pulse are powered by their own gemstones - superior strength sources which have developed into a staple in every Final Fantasy game - which one by one become core points of the developing clash which will serve as the backdrop for the player's escapade.

Except from the gemstones, common notions are {certain to go back, like a toon called Cid, flying ships, chocobos, leveling themes, beckoning and summoned fiends similar to the Ifrit and Bahamut, forceful monsters similar to Ultima, and destructive hexes similar to fire, fira and firaga.

The people in the rear of the pictures are likewise just as recognizable. Motomu Toriyama, the leader of Final Fantasy X-2 and the director and scenario writer for Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings, will be the lead director of Final Fantasy XIII. Eiji Fujii, the movie director of Final Fantasy XII, will care for the fantastic CGGs of the 13th chapter. Isamu Kamikokuryo, who split art directing tasks for Final Fantasy XII, will have the lead for Final Fantasy XIII. And Kazumi Kobayashi and Yoshiki Kashitani, veterans of previous Final Fantasy games, will return as the fundamental programmers for the hottest produce.

There is so much to be thrilled about with Final Fantasy XIII. The battle system is truly unique. Vanished are the difficult accidental fights as well as the sluggish turn based system of previous games. Final Fantasy XIII will use a dynamic encounter structure that will play like a real time battle scheme, much like the hack and slash games currently. The visuals are said to be the best, not only when it comes to other entries in the installments, but also when compared to other games for this generation of engines.

Final Fantasy XIII will be available in Japan come 2009, and a US issue is sure to follow suit a few months thereafter.
